Spring Break, Road Trip, 2008

For spring break I headed to southern Utah, to hit up all of the national parks in Utah. We did it so we could write a geology report mainly... but it was a ton of fun!
Day 1) We headed out driving first to Beaver (to get 26 lbs of squeaky cheese), San Rafael, then to Ceder where we met up with me best guy friend Sean! we camped out to save money, ate the food from the trunk, and view SUU!

Day 2)We went to St. George to see the sites, went to the double D's, and dropped Sean off, after I said my goodbyes we headed to Zion's... on the way we broke down. After calling dad, and tampering with a few things, I succeeded to fix the vehicle! (Thanks dad for teaching me about cars). We hit Zions right as the sun was setting... but got out to late to find a campsite. So I took over, and we happened to stumble across a real state lot deep in some random hills. After hiding the car, we set up the tent, and camped. That night I awoke to drunk voices, and a rumbling truck right outside of our tent. I prayed quietly, while Alycia, and Alex were out like the monuments we saw earlier. After a while they left, and everything was intact.
Day 3) We went all the way to Monument valley, hitting Bryce, Bridges, Brainhead, and Capital Reef on our way. When we got to Monument Valley, my dorm mate, Comasheena snuck us into the park, through the back roads! Go Comi! We camped on the reservation that night, in some one's front sand dune (that's right, sand dune, not lawn)!

Day 4) Everyone was getting a bit restless to head back to Price, so we started homeward bound! We stopped in Moab for lunch, Arches, Canyonlands, and all the historical markers we could find!

Home at last...

jobs??

After a lot of consideration, and debate in my head, I decided that a job out of Utah would be an excellent idea for this summer. Well after applying to many places; I sealed two of them with a prayer. I guess it shouldn't be a surprise that they are the only two that have gotten back to me.
Option A) Connecticut: This is a job on the eastern coast, free housing, camping, food, a high pay, and all I'd need to do is deal with troubled youth. These kids would be out of the ghetto, and have to go through an application process to even qualify for the opportunity. I'd be hiking clothes in, and out of the forest. as well as setting up a ropes course for the kids. ( I really want this one!)
Option B) Alaska: Skagway, what an interesting sounding place... here I'd be a tour guide, hiking, biking, cruising, rafting, and whatever else is needed. It pays 10.50 an hour, and 40hrs a week. These guys have already interviewed me (over the phone), but I'm praying for the option A button more. I guess we shall see how it turns out in the end right?
